That silly woman on the Isle of Despair...

...I can't get her to join me this time around! Any ideas why this might be happening? She won't even talk to me, just says, "Yes? You have need of me?" and other pointless phrases.

 

Are you a different gender or race than last time? :-?

 

If you told her to wait somewhere, then didn't come back for awhile, she'll go back to the fort. When to go back to pick her up again, she won't join you. Don't take her into your party unless you're really ready for her, and don't let her wait too long. The only way to fix this is to load a previous save.

 

Is it a low BE & CH thing? I thought the poor child would join ANYONE.

 

This happened to me with Virgil once, at the Crash Site (new game). Just acted like a 'filler' villager.

 

Did you wipe out the amazon camp? If you kill them first, she won't join. Or at least on my game she didn't.

 

I never did figure out what went wrong. I just reloaded an earlier game and did the Isle of Despair parts over again. I had already completed all of the other quests when I talked to her, and I had whatshisname, the dwarf, in the group as well. So maybe she doesn't like short people.

 

Its not short people, its Thorvald himself. Get her first, then get Thorvald. while she is in the party she doesn't mind.
