Tech Question: Level cap + no cd crack

i was wondering if anyone out there knew of a level cap fix and a no cd crack in the one? i've only found one or the other as main exe hacks, and was wondering if there was one that did both anywhere? thanx

I am in need of such thing too. Coz I play with a cracked version of the game now - I don't even have a cracked 1.074 exe , I use crack for 1.0 over the installed patch and now it is quite ok , having no problems at all , but when I reach level 50 I won't be able to use the no level cap exe - I tried it , it screws up the no cd crack.

 

Kontra, easy solution, just go and purchase an official copy of the game.

 

To be totally honest it has never even occured to me to do so. I'm Bulgarian and as such I'd rather die than give money for something that I can have for free.

 

But you get nifty things when you buy it. A book, a box, two coasters. I can find it used for $20 US right now.

 

Amazon's got it new for $17. I think I heard something about it being in a tiny box now, but I can't be certain. I wonder what the manual looks like in the tiny box version. *shudder*

That reminds me, is it legal to make copies of the game CDs for personal backup use? Every time I take the play disk out of the case I'm sure it's going to break... damn tight CD cases anyway....

 

Yes, it does come in a "tiny" box now. In fact, all games do now. Just happened suddenly... The box it just large enough to hold the user manual, but small enough to get rid of all the not-used space.

I just checked. I legal copy of the game costs 12 $ here. That's the price at the one and only firm that actually tries to sell legal games in Bulgaria. I suppose the price is a little lower for the sole purpose of fooling at least anyone to buy it. Anyway I got mine for 0.40$ and I wouldn't have to pay that much if a webmaster here hadn't screwed me up by taking the game off his site just a day before I download it. A manual would really be nice , but 11.6$ just for its sake is a way too much. Pitifully the fact that there isn't a no cd crack and a no level cap on one and the same .exe may be a nasty problem. For now it's quite ok , but if it becomes too annoying after I advance in the game I may ask a colleague of mine to write that for me.

 

In the large view, the level limit is no problem for many of us. We like planng out our PCs in advance, & plan on trying many ways to get through the game. If it is a mater of real money, ditch the no level cap & start a new & different PC until your friend comes through.

 

$12.00 fucking dollars!, you didn't want to pay $12!!!!! what the fuck!, if you don't won't/can't pay that little, even in local currency, it doesnt sound like much to pay for a lot of peoples hard work. then quite frankly in my opinion you don't deserve the game, or any for that matter!. and don't start bitching because you can't enjoy the game to it's full because you didn't want to get a lagal copy!, try growing up first!.


*edit* i just checked my box and i paid $70 Aust dollars for my version and i think it was worth every fucking cent.

 

Give the dude a small break. $12 US is far eaiser to come by in the states or down under than in Bulgaria. Two hours flipping burgers for MacDonnald's will give you about that much after taxes here. In eastern europe, first they have to get local currency & then find $US to buy. Can you immagine markets where there is NOTHING for sale in the money you earn? Needing to buy foregin cash on the black market to buy things in your own town? A whole shadow economy running on some other country's cash?

You & I have it pretty easy compared to some. There are whole countries where a 350 mhz Pent II is a fast machine.

 

Imagine how much trouble (educated good english peasant farmer Kontra) had to go through to get his internet enabled Bulgarian PC and to pay his ISP charges!
