What are the benefits of getting the membership before you need the book, in any?

 

You need the book the librarian has. Kill,pickpocket or join but you will need it at some point in the game. I wont spoil it unless you ask

 

None. In fact getting a membership at all is kind of useless. Just kill her or pick her pocket for the book.

 

So that I dont soud like a complete idiot, I did try to change that post to something similar to vlads. My ISP craped out on me and I couldn't get a connection. True just kill her and get the book.

 

Save your game get the menbership read the
books and load

 

That won't work because reading the book triggers the next part of the main plot. If you just read the book and reload then that trigger will disappear too.
