I searched, but trolling through 2 pages of posts is my limit....

Is there a pick pocket apprentice before caledon?

Uhm, no, I believe Adam Maxwell in Caladon is the only Apprentice trainer in the game. I guess that the expert trainer could turn you into an apprentice as well, but he's also living in Caladon... :/

So, no luck there I'm afraid. May I ask why you need an apprentice trainer before Caladon? I mean, you're not forced to reach Caladon at a certain time, just jump on a boat from Tarant and you're there.

Vollinger the follower, who you can find in Dernholm, can teach you to be Apprentice in pick pocket, but only BEFORE you talk to him about anything.

Talk to just about any member of the thieves underground in Tarant and they can train you as an apprentice. Specifically talk to the gentlemen walking around the docks, you'll know him because he has a pocket watch in his inventory.

Sorry Dark Elf, that boat is flat unavailable untill you return from your first trip to Qintarra & get a certain book.

I believe I have talked to him & then gotten training later. I know he cannot train you if he has joined you.

Only if you are a member. Otherwise, its off to Dernholm.

No, but Gorgoth pass is always an option, as long as your ready for some high-level monsters.

Yeah , it can be pretty tough if your not a decent level. But, after that you have access to Caladon, etc.

Thanks, I did...and that was the most freaky quests...

Good thing a made dog wait at the entrance of the cave before I destroyed the sword....prowling saved me...even though I needed new armour and a new dagger by the time I got out..(I could have it repaired, but I were that dark robe from off on of the hand guys so I ususally get 2-3 walking from SH to tarrant)

Try fighting the Dark Palidin sometime. He has Major Heal. A bit harder when the other guy can heal too.

Never seen him using that. I didn't even know he had spells to cast. I guess he just doesn't live that long in my games.

And since he's undead he doesn't run out of fatigue. After he runs out of fatigue he can't cast anymore spells, but he doesn't go unconsious.
