Stuck on picking my followers.

Alright I'm a level 13 Half-Elf with expert in melee and dodge. I am at apprentice persuasion and level 3 blacksmithing or w/e u call it. Who should I pick as followers, I already have Virgil but thats it so far.

 

Get yourself Gar, and I'd get Sogg Mead Mugg, but you're already level 13. Go with Chukka.
Also, go to Ashbury and get the dog.
Depending on your alignment, I'd pick up Magnus along the way, and possibly Geoffrey at the Ashbury Cemetary.

 

If you're a smith then you might want Jayna for healing since Virgi's skills will faulter as your tech alignment gets higher.

 

Sogg Mead Mugg is exceptionally good, and doesn't winge at you for attacking certain people (Good). Gar is also very good but is very limited on what armour he can wear, and will winge if you attack good aligned people.

 

Magnus ("Everyone needs a dwarf in their party", makes stuff)
Loghaire (As above, makes stuff)
Raven (Since your a half-elf, why pass up a good thing...?)
Gar (He's green)
Wothless Mutt (best fighter in the game, especially against Ore Golems)
Sogg or Chukka (great attack mule)

virgil (for a while anyways)
jayna (just for tech meds, she's a loco fighter)

Oh, and that gunslinger in the boil, whats his face(?) (makes stuff)

 

Thansk a bunch guys. Ill try to use those followers. One question If I kill Virgil will bad stuff happen to me? If not then whats his use at all other than pissing at me for accidently hitting him with worthless junk.

 

Yeah, in your first playthrough, keep Virgil alive with you as long as possible.
It's easier to progress the story when he's around (in your first game). You can actually ask him what you should be doing at the time.

Go for Sogg. You'd be doing yourself a favour. And then, if you have Sogg, Virgil, Magnus and Dog, you don't need anyone else.

 

Loghaire can't make anything.

He's just an excellent fighter. Also, I have discovered something. Harrow does indeed do damage. When you equip it and look at your attack meter everything says 0 as though it were bugged or something. However if you take away all of Loghaire's other weapons and make him use it and then attack him, he will indeed kill you with it. I haven't tried wielding it myself, but I was surprised, to say the least.

 

What halfling? I just got done clearing it and didn't see him. Does he come in later?


Loghaire cant make stuff? Its been to long since I've had him as a follower, though I should be picking him up this weekend. Him and his worthless Axe. Tongs was thinking of fixing it to work the way its supposed to, including the racial adjustments. Wonder if he finished?....

 

Yeah, Loghaire is just a little moose. Too bad, I wouldn't mind kicking Magnus out of my party. I just keep him there for the crap he can build.
