starting over

    I think its best I start over with a new character...I made a human techno guy because I am SICK of magic in my rpgs...my favorites rpgs of all time are the Fallout games( and I swear Arcanum is the exact same engine..I love it)....but as my guy is right now I'm stuck in Shrouded Hills cause I cant kill or get around those bullies at the bridge.

    I spread my points out instead of specializing...got some in pick pocket,firearms,smithing,melee,dodge.....I think if I restart now and raise firearms first then do something else I should be able to kill those blokes blocking my path...what do you guys think?

    My final thoughts are I want a guy that is a master firearms user and can make his own weapons and healing salve..maybe pick locks and pick pocket also...when I created my last guy I dumped all my points into perception and choose BANDIT as my background..loved the gun I got for that but I think maybe I should put some into dex and str and stuff also.....any opinions here guys and gals??..thnx

    Two thoughts... (mebbe three, who's counting?)

    1) you can probably pickpocket the bridge key from Lukan with a decent dex and a point of pickpocket...

    2) you can always buy your way past...

    if you do restart, firearms is tough at first but gets better as you get mid-level...

    Use the Bandit Background. You start with a seriously nice pistol using that background.

    UPDATE

    update..well I started over and this time concentrated on firearms first...got expert then went and visited those bridge hoggin morons....went pretty easy this time and got some loot to boot...bought me some extra ammo :smile:...now Im off to tarant I guess for the first time. :smile:

    yup..used it the first time also
    I swear that the constable in shrouded hills sauid he'd gove me a quility revolver for helping with the bank but he only gives me some other type of revolver..like 1 lvl below the one i start with..is that right?..maybe a bug......love the bandit background btw..it lowered me to 1 follower but when i created I just dumped a point into it and it went back to 2...now if that crazy drunken ogre in the INN would just join me..ill go back for him soon maybe.
