I come here and talk about problems in my life. I shouldn't burden you guys like that. I only do it seeking your opinions, but I can see how that would eventually get on some peoples' nerves. I'll try to be more considerate, and perhaps witty, in my future dealings with you.

That's awfully responsible of you Grossenschwamm, but also consider that as your audience, we too are responsible for how much of your burden we decide to shoulder.

I suggest that you continue to come here and share at whatever level you are comfortable and trust that we won't allow ourselves to become so bogged down in your personal life that we cannot deal with our day-to-day lives.

I have a solution to this. If everyone switched to the subSilver color scheme, then Grossenschwamm could write those personal parts of his posts using the quote function, and we could each decide whether or not to highlight them if we wanted to read them.

Though... it does mean that my request to change the quote color would spoil it. Hmm... it's a real dilemma.

I used to be relatively normal. Years of pot smoking changed all that. I can actually see in the past where I was a productive member of the board, actively contributing in a useful way. Now it seems that all I do is go on rants about my private life, and I hardly have anything "good" to say. I don't want to think I've changed, but I have. I feel as though I've become my own shadow, and at some points I believe I haven't been banned simply because of my prodigious post count. Actually, I think that if anyone wanted to ban be, they would have already. I really don't pose much of a threat. Still, I hearken back to my halcyon days when I had just discovered the forum and hadn't established myself as the big sponge. And Smuel, give me one reason to think you're not HWLFP in disguise. Aside from not having a dynamic IP.

 

If you got banned sponge you could just make another account. Keep on ranting, not like we get many other things to discuss in the general section.

Grossenschwamm: Rant on, my friend. I thought it was assumed that anyone haunting a rpg fansite after ten years must be fucked up somehow. I know I am.

Besides, the crazier you are, the more entertaining it is. I once spent a year frequenting a nearby coffee shop where I spoke at length with an old, local schitzaphrenic. His helpless honesty and derranged sincerity was pure gold. Years later, I still chuckle at some of his comments.

 

Sometimes a derranged mind is better than a full-working one.

I agree. Ban him! Ban the infidel intruder who comes here and disturbs our cosy forum! Yeah, I'm totally with you guys.
