This may be funny but I be in Tula and I have never wonderd about getting Sogg in to my team. The question hom do me make him join?
It's a bit late to join him now that you reached Tulla. He'll be weak and probably not able to advance too especially if you have other powerful characters in your party.
You need a charisma of 9 to have him join your party. If you run out of the crash site right away without fighting any wolves you can get him at level 1 or 2 and he will always be at your level and he will quickly become very powerful.
If you want to get him as an evil character, I believe you can just Dark Helm him a few times to make him evil and more tolerant of your own evilness.
So do you need to walk the line untill then? I haven't seen the dark helm anywhere but the ashbury haunted house..
Yes if you want to use bugs and exploits you can kill him and use the reflection shield bug and exploit to make him a pernamantly free undead follower.
I had read somewhere that the reflection shield bug doesn't work for undead. Or was that just referring to summon undead and not create undead?
I wouldn't regard usage of the Dark Helm as an exploit. What the fuck, if you knew that the damned helm would change the morals of that morally rigid yet resourceful ogre, wouldn't you just give him the helm? Sogg is a thick fellow, he would gladly put it on. And while he does, get viler, which was just what you wanted. As long as you can find a somewhat plausible rp-explanation, it can't be munchkinistic.
The Dark Helm is bugged. Everytime that you wear it your aligment drops and your MA increases.. It is an exploiut. If it changed your aligment only once it would not be bugged. But it will change it as many times as you wear it.
I like to use the Bangellian Scourge to adjust allignments, its to late in the game to be used on Sogg though. To bad as it reduces allignment by 80 and as far as I know is bug free, only down side is you either have to master gambling or have 50 000 coins to buy a ship.
Okay, this has been bothering me for a long time. Why do you seperate each and every sentence with a double space? On the topic, however, Sogg is quite possibly the best follower you can get, besides Dog. He kicks ass, and you can get him at level one or two, so he advances right along with you. He is also strong enough to carry large amounts of supplies without flagging. Finally, he doesn't put points into nearly-useless skills like lockpick (Virgil) and prowling (Vollinger). Only Strength, Dexterity, Melee and Dodge for that boy. Does anyone know why his magical aptitude is at 10?
I don't think so. I played Arcanum to the end with evil mage (not so evil (al. -20)) and he didn't left.
