shrouded hills thieves

okay ive been troubled with this for about a week , how to defeat the half ogres at the bridge. well heres my plan. im gonna get sogg from the inn to be on my team. and now that i know that i have to raise my charisma to 9 to get him i shall do that thus hopefully destroying the thieves at the bridge , giving me mass points, and a bunch of cool crap. if anyone thinks that they can give me an idea for a better plan i would be appreciative

 

use the grenades you found at the crash site... that should take enough points off, that you can kill them easy...

Or you can pay the 1000, or you can talk your way out of it, or you can do the quest Mr Witless gives you. Your proposed way sounds the most fun though, with the talking your way out of it being a good 2nd, though that particular solution is best left for diplomatic characters. Doing his quest is more for the evil-type characters and paying is the rich coward's way out (I personally would rather buy a Sword of Sickness for that 1000 (or whatever the gipsy has in stock before I'd pay the thieves, but hey, that's a personal thing :smile: ).

 

If your PER is high enough you can actually get them to give you 200 gold. Just choose the options about being a thief yourself. This way you also learn about the Thieves Underground.

Be warned, killing Lukan will make entry into the Thieves Underground harder.

 

If you are a technichian you could place out hundreds of traps next to him an piss him of.

 

The persuasion tactic is the best , but let virgil and sogg camp at thier escape route and kill them quickly while thier runnin away .
and you only need 8 charisma for Sogg .

Thieves Underground and Killing Witless boy

Hey Jarinor (or anyone else for that matter) - How do you get into the Underground if you kill Lukan? Actually I knew he was an entry point for the Underground but I foolishly agreed to get rid of him (the Sherrif's little quest)before I talked to him (I planned to do both- get the Underground contact then kill him for the money) but I did it backwards. Where else can I go to get in?

you can loot the elven burial site for someone in tarant (a woman near the bridge right at the entrance).

then talk to the person at the bar in madam lil's.

or talk to the guy standing between houses near the house of the woman that gives you the elven burial site quest.

note: the woman that gives you the quest won't be at the bridge at night.

 

if you have a high enough pers, you can convince lukan that you're from the thieves guild, he'll leave, and you find out that way...

 

Use Dynamite

That's right, if you drop a stick in the middle of his group or time it just right, you can blow them all to hell. Of course, make sure you tell Virgil to wait so that he doesn't wind up part of the landscape as well.

They dont lseep. its all of the crank they take. It keeps them up all night. I just saved before I went ot kill them and droped some grenades on them or casted a couple of harms their way. their not tough but dont be in a rush to leave S.H. too much early xp will be lost that way.
