Phasing through walls! :-o It is my new game called "Three dwarves, two bitches and one robot army". I'm making my way to the third dwarf and one robot army.
Hmmm..... I wonder if that could be replicated via scripting? Have a creature attack, then go through a wall for its safety, parallel your movements, and come at you again. *Wanders off to have evil fantasies*
I had a similar thing happen to me with some albino humanoid. I smacked him one and he tore off in the opposite direction at top speed, through a wall, and off screen. He eventually came back, though.
Seems to be related to this glitch of yours. Pretty bizarre. Unlikely, since both the Seething Mass and the Mechanized Arachnid in the above case have pre-set positions (like most of critters), they're not spawned by script. I played through the whole game a few times in 1024x768 and haven't noticed any similar issues. Although, taking into account how messy Arcanum's code is, anything can happen.
Seems I misjudged the problem. I thought the Seething Mass spawned there, which I took to be something like the distance based spawns/triggers not working properly with the HRP, like that Half-Ogre Island Captain. Seems they move/teleport/phase there while in game. Then yes, my previous statement is quite invalid.
Yeah, the Seething Mass is fleeing from my followers. I reached for the PrintScreen button just in time to capture its backside. I was worried that its fleeing off the map's edge might crash the game or even corrupt my save, so I reloaded shortly afterward.
Now that you described the whole situation, I seem to recall events like that myself. It's quite harmless though, sometimes an enemy did run away through walls off screen and after a few seconds appeared out of nowhere right next to me and continued his attacks, just as if it never happened.
Similar thing happened to my gf and me too when we were solving Herzods quest in Tulla. In one of those rooms there were windows and you could, if you want, get out and walk outside the walls of the room, but only near the walls - not like this crazy Mass
Similar? That is a completely different thing. I do admit that I had some carefree fun with those windows myself, though. Oh, and welcome aboard!
