I kinda left the Isle of Despair too soon... after talking to the lead guy, who told me my ship probably wasn't there, I went to check and didn't save before doing so. So I got stuck in a dialog with the Captain guy and had to leave. Now that we are back in Stillwater, he won't engage in a dialog with me. Will anyone else go there? If not, will another opportunity arise for me to return?
Yep Isle of Despair is a real bitch - absolutely no way to get back there even with teleport spell or your own ship.
which is really rather crap I mean ok if they got a magic barrier no teleport but what explanation (reasonable I mean) is there that after you buy or steal your own ship for some reason you can't sail it to a given Island you know how to get to. OK I'm done
Because Troika doesn't want you to be able to take advantage of the stuff on the Isle of Despair. Great level-raising place, and lots of places to store your stuff.
Now thats the kinda attitude I respect, nice one mate. I actually like startin a new game more than continuing a one im half way thru in......6 saves and not one complete......someone Help me ! 3
Perhaps you can level up quickly but aside from 4-6 minor quests it's boring like hell to just run around it. Plus when you get there you're a fairly high level char already.
The pits are kewl, you can get a nice sword from one of the enemies, but aside from maxim and the stuff from the submarine, there isn't that much there. You can store your stuff in a chest in any inn you like.
It's good you don't have any indispensible items while on that island. It would be a pit if you could accidentally leave, say vedigroth device, there.
