Is this place any use? I wandered there from Caladon's side of the mountains using the coordinates from this site. It was real pain, I had to travel in both map and walking modes. I found nothing of interest there, just few floating barrels containing some junk. When I tried to leave in map mode, I couldn't move anywhere. After some messing around in the other mode I was suddenly able to move in the map mode, this time on the eastern side of the mountains. WTF? Much easier to pass through than Gorgoth Pass if you ask me.
Razor Pointe is a quest location. You get the quest from the king of Dernholm to find his daughter. She is the corpse you find near a chest, on the ship wreckage. It can also serve for passage through mountains.
the prince in caladon can give you the quest as well. im guessing it depends on which sex you are, cus whenever i play as a female the prince gives it to me. :lol:
Get the amulet WITHOUT talking to the king, show it to him and you keep it. Then go the Caladon Castle and speak to the prince near the door.
If you go there early enough in the game, it serves as a nice supply source for shields, a bit of gold and, if you are playing a female, a handy dress for when you need to make an impression on someone. That dress is worth hanging onto because it is the equivalent of a smoking jacket and has a definite beneficial effect to persuasion when performing certain quests. Also, as mentioned above, grab the amulet and take it to Dernholm to the king to complete one quest, then later on talk to the prince in Caladon at the castle about it.
