Quick demo question...

Heya --

I bought that shield from the starting inventory screen, but I haven't been able to equip it. When I try, it simply says 'item cannot be equipped.' I'm currently wielding that sword that you get from the 'Son of a Hero' background -- and it appears to be one handed. I have no idea why I can't equip it -- I've tried unequipping everything else, but that didn't work. The shield doesn't appear to have any requirements. I'm playing a human character with a strength and dexterity of ten. Mayhaps this is a bug in the demo?

It's kinda a bug

Due to art problems with file size 'n' all, you can't use the shields

...and they *are* aware of it, and they *will* fix it, right? Yes, I'm asking you to both predict the future and be omniscient :smile:.

I'm not sure that's up to them, the developers. Seirra might consider the demo "good enough" regardless of the missing graphics problems.

 

I'm confused. Is the ~250 MB beast the *final* demo?! I thought it was a leaked beta demo. That's absurd if it is, how long would that take to download on 56K (even on my 400k/sec cable connection it took a half an hour *grins*). So no one knows if Sierra plans on releasing a tweaked final demo?

as far as i am aware the demo youve got is *the* demo an there will be no others for the forseeable future...(well until after the game is released :smile: )
