Hey guys, I always wanted to have a place to stash all goodies.
In Tarant (you want to have place in middle of map) go to cemetery and put all your stuff into coffin, so far I haven't lost any items from it I'm at lvl 30 right now and if run accross some unique item I stashed right away there as there might be some use for it later on in the game.

Hope this is a good advice for you all.

At the very enterance to Tarant there's a very small building to the left with a trash can in it, I place all my stuff in that trash can and I haven't lost anything yet.
Now that I told you about it don't go and take my stuff.

That is not the only place.

Since I have the teleport spell, I found that there are 2 places where I can most conveniently store items without too much running around.

    1. Blackroot in the hotel where I get free room and board there is a chest at the foot of the bed.

    2. Dernholm when I teleport in there are 2 storehouses that I can unlock to get in. These 2 storehouses have 4 barrels each that can be unlocked to place items.

    3. Finding that you have too much junk on yourself squeeze them into the quick slots, I found out by accident that I could place anything in the quickslots. I am now running around with all my weapons and armour in the quick slots and even managed to squeeze an automatron into one of them.

I'm looking for a more correct location roleplaying wise. Do equipment decay if placed in chests/lockers in an Inn?

    Yes it is true....

HL you can put weapons & armour into the quick slots... I do and I even have an antomatron in one of them.

johtib, items do not decay when left in certain containers... not dust bins though.

I don't know if this is possible but just in case u can lock the container by lockpicking on it.

I use a barrel near the entrance in the WOlf Caves- right in the middle of everything AND short loading time!

Wolf cave have 6 barrels you can store. If you have teleport, that is probably the best location for storing.

    Tarant
It seems the rubbish bin in the front of the second warehouse with rats is a good storage place. The abandonded place next to the Tarant University underground station is another good location. You can find 4 locations behind the lock door in the sewer. I recommend destroying the door so you don't have to lockpick. You can also enter from Mr Willborough's house.

    Shroudded Hills
The abandoned house next to the general store and the barn have a place to store.

    Dernholm
The abandonded house near Jayna is also good despite the beggar sleeps there.

personally I use the display case at that wacky zoo guy in Tarant. I bought the damn thing to get the fur so I might as well use it.

I just use Dominate Will on a Half Ogre NPC and VOILA, instant a la mule. I have had zombies walk off with my stuff once, I had to kill it and I got my stuff back, but it was really wierd. You can lock a container using Magelock, and I think there is schematic for a Mechanical Lock, or you can put a trap on a container.
