Can anyone tell me where to get hold of some passion root for the gods quest. This is my second time through the game and I can't get past geshtiana because I can't find the passion root. I have spent hours wandering the glimmering forest to no end. :x

The Wheel Clan garden definitely has some passion root. Remember to pick up an olive branch while you're there as well.

About the gestianna thing, about four feet from the altar, by the upper-right wall, there is a passion root very handy there...very simple, to the point, no bull. period.

    Good

...but also, if it isn't there for some reason, just wander around Quintarra, usually after a fight or two in the Glimmering Forest I look at my follower's inventory and they have one or two. But, yes, in Geshtianna's altar there's one, just like in Kai'tan's altar there a geode just there.

PS: The Wheel Clan has passion roots? Aaand: once I found one in Ashbury. :)

The surly elven trader in Ashbury seems to carry one about 95% of the time.

    HedgeWizard

The hedgewizard in Black Root has a small statue with the sprite of the Li'tani, I think that may replace it... you just need to steal it, or kill the wizard... and steal it.

I have found Passion Root in herbalist's shops (occasionally) and the garden in the Wheel Clan.

Nope, doesn't work that easy even when I was a lockpick expert with maximum points in lock picking. I guess it needs high prowling anyway...

if their backs are turned and you are in prowling mode, they wont catch you and you can pick it repeatedly without them getting pissed

Have to resurrect this old thread...

Where can I find passion root other than the temple in Stillwater?

Merchants do not carry it - not even the herbalists - look it up in the Prima guide or employ the shopkeepers hack and you'll see it's true. I think it's getting confused with witchbane.

Also, the garden in Wheel Clan doesn't have it, nor does the plant room in the Black Mountain Mines. There is gingka root, poppy flowers, and so forth, but no passion root.

I imagine I sold what I found in Stillwater (it was only in one location in the temple), and i need it for the ancient gods quest.

    Thanks.

Have you even read the thread above?

You can find Passion Root in the Wheel Clan garden, or while travelling the wilderness, most likely in the Glimmering Forest.
