Ok fine :P new thread on Dredge ;)

I'm not sure I found the Dredge.. I found a tunnel section with some miners complaining of lost miners, and a bunch of dread crystal spiders and the like (I've killed all but that big eight legged freak). Is this "the Dredge"? Or am I missing it?

 

No, wrong end of the Wheel Clan. To find the Dredge, simply turn right before you enter the throne room. In the tunnel to it (the throne room), there should be another tunnel to the right. Outside the stairs, there's a dwarf who'll ask you who you are and what your buissnes in the Dredge is. If you've got Randvers allowance, then you can enter. Otherwise, you'll have to kill the guard.

 

You can always talk to his son first, and you might be able to find another way in....

 

Heh, yeah, but that's just another of my entrances to the dredge. After I talk to Loghaire, I always end up walking into the dredge and killing EVERYTHING. From the back to the front. So I get hard monsters first, and so on and so forth. it's great fun.

 

That's what I do, although I must admit that running around down there can be really annoying, especially when you have to find the key.

By the way, the last time I was there, the dwarf who gives you the quest to find his brother was asleep. I went away and came back a couple of hours later, only to find that he was still sleeping. I advanced to the evening and he was still sleeping. Has it ever happened to you or is it just one of the bugs that's attacking me after my last installation? I swear it's giving me a whole lot of problems...

 

That's happened to me too. But as far as I can remember, a reload from an earlier save game solved it. (But I'm not sure, it was some time ago)

 

Right now my game is too buggy. :cry: I can't even use the right click for the inventory, which is killing me. It's strange, I installed the latest patch. Maybe I should try an earlier version.

 

Eh, I dunno. i've been having some weird crashes, like I would try to get into a building with a seperate map (like a castle) and the game would shut off, or I'd try and go somewhere on my boat, and the game would stop. But, a couple days ago, it all stopped happening and my game's been bug free. You probably don't need to install an earlier version of Arcanum, it's probably just being bitchy for a little while. Wait it out, and if it's still doing it by the end of this week (or by wednesday) then you should roll back.
