You must buy or rent storage space in a city. Buying would include a home or warehouse, renting would include chests at inns and lockers at train depots.

** No one is going to respond? Seems someone would disagree with having no free storage, and I call those people lazy ... but I assumed they would be out there.

It would be nice to have that...though it's more fun to break into someone's house, kill him and use his storage space. Mwah-ha-ha-ha-haaaa!

Be nice if you could buy a house too. I mean, without killing the tenants first.

Just make sure that free-standing lockers are periodically looted by thieving scripts, while train station lockers aren't

Buying houses is a good option to have...but it's not as economicly efficiant. Unless you get to design it to you exact specifications.

There could be a few general options. Script a few thing involving changing the map. Like when you ask for the house to be built he asks you how many rooms, you get the choice of like three sizes. Then basic layout. From your options a cost is derived and the map is edited to include the corresponding house. You could probably even include multiple flag locations if you wanted the house to be outside any particular city.

Or, if you wanted to get jiggy, a sims 2-esque building program.

    ....

I enjoyed the Morrowind approach to building your own house, the style depended on what clan you joined and wasn't just completed instantly but rather you had quests that progressed the building progress(getting permission to build, seizing mines to guarantee your stronghold had income, etc).

well there's always the ultima approach to this, buy some sort of tool or deed in game and it just gives you a few options, like, 1story 2 story, and customizable, it then gives yuo a small square of land to customize as you see fit.

Or the Levitown approach, where they make a bunch of identical houses and charge far more for them than they're worth.
