Newbie lockpick question

I raised my lockpicking to 4 and cant seem to pick a friggin lock....I see no skill icon
to use the skill....I have a pickpocket and disarm and repair icon but no picklock one. So my question is how do you pick a lock ( I have no pick tools but heard you can without them) I am also an expert in lockpicking now.

 

I didn't know that you could pick a lock without lockpicks.
But normally (that's what I know) put the lockpicks into one of the item-shortcut-slots and use them from there. X

 

It took me a while to figure this one out. Yes, u have to have lockpics in your inventory,or quick slot in order to pick locks. click the slot u have lockpics in then click the container,or go to your inventory,grab lockpics,drop em on the "use" (palm) icon,click the container. U can find lockpics in many places. Few I know: Char. creation(Buy from that Initial shop), sometimes appears in Bessy Toone Mine by the ghost,trash can in Tarant on the corner of Low Dervish Row and Quilton Bend I think it is just outside the cheap Inn....

every blacksmith/junk dealer/black market dealer/general store will sell them :smile:... and yes you need them to pick a lock.
