New forum rules

Actually, it's only ONE new rule I'm introducing, because it's becoming more 'n more necessary every day:
Don't post if you don't have anything to say. It's annoying. Really, REALLY annoying. Knock it off, or I'll start resetting postcounts and, in extreme cases, banning people. Off-topic conversations are OK, continually posting just to say "LOL" or "ok" or other completely and utterly useless messages isn't. This isn't a chatroom. Try to keep your posts at least somewhat meaningful, ok?

Oh man, I'm in trouble now.

Does this mean every post I make has got to have a point to it? Does this mean all posts or just when creating new topics?

 

Not all posts need to have a point to them, but I thought it was getting a bit extreme on this forum.

 

Yeah, I'm sorry. I just think meaningless and confusing posts are funny, but I see how everyone else think they are lame, so I'll stop.

Though i certainly felt a lot of them were needed.....in fact i feel all of mine were valid at the time

You know what toblix? It wasn't even aimed at you specifically. Most of your stuff is slightly funny, although I can imagine some other people finding it annoying. But there's more people who are guilty of this.

Ironically one of the reasons I like this board is that it tends to stay on topic. OTOH, it is frustrating to watch little side comments rack up big post totals while mine just s l o w l y creeps up. I think I'm gonna LIKE the new rule :smile:

Well, it's not like I usually just post things like "lol" or anything (I actually really, really dispise that word), but I probably am guilty of this, so I'll..... Err... Stop.
