I'm going for a half-elf Tech-thief but I don't know what weapons or skills I want to go for. Anu tips? Chemistry? Mechanichal? Some in Electrical?
See the thread, "Items for Thieves (Spoilers)" Since you're going tech, many of the magic items will be little help once your TA is high. You have your choice of weapons, depending on how you build your character. For a sniper-type, you want high prowling and fire arms. For an stealthy assassin-type, high prowling, and medium backstab and melee. A stealthy archer or thrower works as well. Or you don't have to have any stealth at all... You should consider the tech items that help a thief: Charged Ring, Flow Specktrometer, Auto Skeleton Key, Trap Springer, etc.
I've learned that there is "All tech skills or nothing" In the end you will be pissed that you cant build:"Blade Launcher",Vendigroth Rifle,Brainbuilder,Paralyssis grenade Etc. Since it requires combinations of the eight tech-skills Belive me fellow traveler..
yeah white dog....been playing much have yah? Just look at all the PREVIOUS posts about tech manuals, theres a bunch of them. Why do you think they are in the game? For all them mages out there that wanna outfit their troups! Parmanian PS i just did a search on manuals and came up with 155 posts!
You're starting to lose patience with redundant posts which can be easily answered through the use of the Handy Search Feature. About bloody time. I like it. Keep it up.
You go to the library(?) in the northeast of Tarant and buy the tech manuals. They give you points in the tech disciplines, so you can build the found schematics like Blade Launcher, Reanimator, etc. You can't use them to get the schematics which you buy like Molotov Cocktail, Healing Salve, etc. The manuals are plenty heavy and expensive though.
