Moderate Me

Why does my avatar suck? It says I'm an expert now, but my avatar is still that crappy mace. Can I put my own .jpg there? Is the picture an automatic thing, or is it moderated? I don't mean to bitch (yes, I do...) but that mace is boring, and I'd rather have something more interesting there.

 

It's automatic. If you wanna change your avatar, just get a moderator to delete some of your posts. :lol:

 

You mean the only way is to reduce my status!? How'd you get the kitty, cause that is creepy and it makes your posts stand out, I really like it! But I don't want to go back to the dagger or whatever just so I can stop being the mace. I want to put one of my drawings in there or something. If there is a moderator moderating this post, I need moderation! Jarinor, Snowmane, someone help me! I'm wallowing in the swirling mire of mediocrity and I can't take it!

 

You need to:
First: Get a post count over 1000
Second: Trade your sister to jinxed in exchange of an avatar.

You can also start endless spamming posts, wich will give you a very sweet avatar that has not been ween in a while.

 

Well, I'm not going to be known as a spammer, and I don't have a sister. I guess I'm fucked. I doubt I could just convince a mod to let me choose it; I am human female repellant, and I just haven't really talked to any of the male mods. Suffer I must.

 

There's a third way, but it involves cyber sex.

 

Actually, you will get a new avatar at each of the following intervals:

100
250
400
550
700
850
1000

At this point, you can either get your own avatar/title, if you are liked and not a horrible spammer (in other words, don't be like me. I'm not liked, and I'm a spammer, at intervals). Otherwise, you will keep going until you hit the final rank at 3000 (I believe). Only Friend_Al_23 has had that rank so far, as far as I know.

And, Milo, you make it sound like that's bad or something.

I would suggest familiarizing yourself with Paint or some other graphics editor. Gimp is good, and it's free. Since you're such a big boy, being EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD and a POSSIBLE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE, I'm sure you know how to use a search engine to find out what you need, eh?

 

Well, you can make your own avatar, but you're not going to be able to use it here for a fucking long time, if ever. The decision to give someone a custom avatar is Jinxed's, and he only does that when most of the regulars think it's a good idea as well. Only myself, Milo, Sheriff Fatman, retard, mrnobodie and Shadygrove (sort of) have gotten custom avatars...a few have been landed with ones they didn't want, for various reasons.

Aura the reason that your title changed yet your avatar is still a mace is because there are two mace avatars one right after the other. They are a little bit different from each other.

So Canis' pic isn't custom? It's just another rank? Whoa, that's one of the cooler avatar's I've seen on here.

 

No, it's standard. I remember when Xento had it I thought, "Woah." Now it seems a bit on the ostentatious side.

Always thought it would be funny to stick someone with a newbie railroad spike as a custom avatar, whenever they complained about the ranks and asked how to get a custom.... :evil:

You can start by using proper spelling, grammar, capitalisation etc etc etc. After all, you are supposed to be EIGHTEEN and POSSIBLY GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL soon, aren't you? There's no excuse for a native english speaker (unless you're Charles) to use write incorrectly, when you have all the time in the world to check what you've written.

Canis, I went wild over that 1000-posts rank, myself when DU got it. I figured that, at 1000 posts, you are automatically given the ability to add your own avatar/rank. When I got up around there, I realised that it is not so. Then I started using phpBB and realised it wasn't possible, either. :/

SJ, I highly doubt that your own avatar will be added, unless it is a real stunner. AFAIK, the only one here with a custom avatar that they made is Milo. The rest were picked from things someone else made.

BTW, Canis, the best custom avatar of them all, IMO, is the 36-shot rifle. But you get sick of even that after awhile. :/

 

That's not custom. It's just one of the avatars above 1000.

 

Milo made his and Sheriff's avatars...I think Jinxed did my old one. Personally I think that the Ageless Blade or the Magickal Flying thingy are better than the rifle...

 

I want the Stillwater Giant in rabbit form. That's no ordinary rabbit! Then I would be feared and respected. Not that I'm complaining; the mace is REALLY cool.
