Mayor quest in Ashbury

Hi!

What stats & skills (charisma, persuasíon, etc.) do I need to solve the problem of Ashbury's mayor? Currently I've got one point on persuasion + apprentice and charisma 9.

What exactly means "++"? My current Int-stat is 8.

 

Add more points to your intelligence.

 

Ok, I DID understand the meaning of "++"! But how many points should I add to solve this quest (ca.)?

 

10 - can't convince
12 - can convince but still disagree at some matters
15 - agree but not 100%
18 - they completely agree to my ideas

Do what I did and search out an Intelligence Potion. I got mine from the gypsy in Shrouded Hills. Just buy it and use it right before you go up to the podium!

The only problem is my character - it's a tech-dwarf - and I would probably waste a plenty amount of Int-potions until he would become "the Brain"!

 

Do you need to be a techy or a mage in order to drink a potion? I think its all in the stamina of intaking ingredients whether you are a mage or not. Of course, I was basing on real life. I don't know how'd it affects in the game.

 

I tried to use a healing potion on my tech-dwarf, because of his tech-degree the potion-effect failed; that's why I suppose an Int-potion will fail, too.

 

You can use your fate points though. It was such a shame that I didn't use any of my fate points except when I have to go to the Ruby Glen. Until the game ended, I never use any fate points but that one. So use it at your best interest. :smile:

 

frankly, I was just an expert in persuasion with 14INT and they agreed with me, no problem... perhaps there is some other factor?

 

There are other factors as you should take right answers. I played with options and my IQ seems to have nothing to do when wrong answer is choosed. If you can list dialoque optinons I'll tell which ones has to be used.

Same goes for negotiations beetween Caladon and Tarant.

 

depends from your int and cha if the mayor even offers the job in the first place, depends from your int that you get rational dialog options like the way to get the money for the statue, it takes alot for the option "surely a rich individual can be found in Ashbury" othersise you can try the bake sale or the team work witch they don't agree to, so it's int that gives you the passing options
