Hi again. I have a Familiar now, which is cool. However, I'm at the Isle Of Despair, and can't enter the combat pit in the camp because I can't figure out how to make the Familiar wait up the top. How do I do that? Thanks.
It can be considered almost as a bug. You can only get in battle and make other creatures (well, there arachnides on Isle) kill him. But in this way you will lost all of your followers. There is no guarantee you will find them in place where you found them first time.
The only way to get rid of your Familiar is to get it killed somehow. Leave all your followers except the Familiar waiting near the lair of some particularly powerful enemy, attack this enemy, then stay out of combat while the enemy slaughters your familiar.
I thought you could get rid of it normally as when you want to get rid of any spell you're casting. That has worked for me.
Again, but in the previous case with Blinky, somebody else said just what I was going to say. Anyway; do what bunny said and everything will be alright.
The trick is that there is no spell in your spell bar so you can reject it in any moment (for example, you can reject demon or orc summoning by simply clicking the spell). This spell is simply invisible and unrejectible.
But wouldn't that affect the reaction from your other followers if they see that a creature you made yourself gets blown up to pieces by you?
Now I wonder whether your followers wouldn't attack it as well if it turned on you. I guess I'll have to reinstall Arcanum.
How bout' ya'll just leave your followers in town and then walk out and kill it so that they don't get angry? *Crickets*
Your followers will not bother if you kill off the damn thing. If it attacks you, they'll happily kill it for you.
