Long Bows In Shops?

    Okay, after discovering the Bethesda's going to rape my beloved Fallout, I've decided to dust off my Arcanum CD and play a fun game again.

    I'm playing a technologist archer and I'm pre-BMC stage, so I only have access to Tarant, Ashbury, Blackroot and Dernholm. I need either a Long Bow or a Compound Bow (I have the schematics to convert it), because my current bow just isn't making the grade anymore. Problem is, I can't find a Long Bow *anywhere*.

    Am I missing a shop that sells them somewhere? I really can't keep up with combat without one.

    The only chance you have to buy a Compound Bow at that stage is the very first time you go to the technological smith in Tarant he has one. Long Bows are more of a found item than a bought one but by the time you start finding them you'll have surpassed the needfor them.

    If you feel like it head into the Vendigroth Wastes and fight one of those giant purple insect things, they usually have long bows on them.

    Thanks, that did the trick. The Insectress Hunters had what I needed.

    And now I know that the Envenomed Bow isn't as good as the Compound Bow (seeing as how combats aren't usually very protracted, so the poison damage only hurts your party).
