I downloaded the level cap remover (aka level to 127). I followed the instructions of creating the directory Arcanum/data/rules and put the *.mes file in there. I was under the impression, perhaps foolishly, that the levels were going to come twice as fast because the experience points needed for the next level would be cut roughly in half. Yet, level 2 still costs 2100 xp and on and on. The Arcanum.exe is 1.8mb so it is unpacked, as per the instructions, and I can see the backup version Arcanum50 after having run the patch. Are there steps I have missed or files I haven't put in? I want to build Automaton's for later in the game when fighting baddies but when it takes a minimum of 25 character points to get there I end up taking a magic user, more fun less tedium.
If memory serves, the Level Cap remover just added the ability to gain more levels. I don't think it ever sped up the rate at which you got them. p.s: Didn't I ban you?
That's what I was wondering. I could swear I had read on another thread, that of course you can never find again when searching, that someone had said the xp/lvl was half. But perhaps they were talking out of their hat. {reaction = Courteous} That would be news to me. I don't believe we have been introduced, let alone have opportunity to insult one another to the level of banishment. {reaction = Neutral}
You live within driving range. Silence or I'll get the golf clubs. Eh. Probably someone else. Ah well.
You can easily edit the level/xp scheme. Deleting the last three digits on each line will allow you to level up to 126 before leaving the crash site. That's probably considered extreme cheating, though. [reaction = courteous] Hey! This is great! An explicit reationometer sure simplifies things.
