Kerlin end experting persuation

Lets imagine that i got 1 rank in persuation through leveling up, then i go to Kerlin' altar, offer a coin and gain it's buff. Will it be enough to become an expert in pers? Really don't want to invest in charisma, but one more companion can come in handy. Starting charisma was 9 + Tussode' blessing, so i can spare 1 point in skill if needed, but again, will it be enough?
