Ok, I need help. I've already beaten this game but I'm going back through. I was on the Isle of Despair and I needed to go back to get the glasses. The captain, Teach or whoever, says "Let me know if you need a ship" or something along those lines, but he does not give me the option to go back to the Isle. How do I get back? Thanks.

you can never go back. ever. you dont actually need the glasses from the island though, there are other ways. theres a man in ashbury who can help you overcome this problem. make sure you have a kathorn crystal and cash before you go and find him.

No it is not! It is never forgiven! NEVER!

Seriously, how hard can it be to read the little description under each board of the forum?

Yes, those who do not follow the rules are flogged until either they repent or their asses fall off!

Sensing that my response might have been harsh and inappropriate for this forum...

    uh-oh <hides form mods>

What about using Teleportation? I don't have that spell yet but I gather from the description that it teleports you to places on the world map:

"The spell allows the caster and his group to teleport to a known location."

    ???

Talk about gravedigging! Jeez, you just revived a thread that was like nearly 3 years old! What are the odds?

Anyway: you can't teleport back to the Isle of Despair. You can't teleport to places overseas, the spell only works on the mainland.

Wow, you'll probably get flogged for this one, Suleeto. Those guys in the post may not even be alive anymore! Next time just start a new thread, its more fun anyways.

The only way I know of to get back is using a ship mod, but you'll probably get stuck there forever (Game Over). Just get a set in Ashbury from the eyeglass maker.

    By the way, here's the supposed rules nobody follows;

Maximus, your stupidity, lack of skill in observation and all 'round noobishness both infuriates and fascinates me. Tell me, were you experimented on by mad scientists when you were a baby? Or maybe your mom just dropped you on your head once too often?

Now Vyenna, its so nice of you to share your childhood memories with me, but I dont think we know each other well enough yet.

It is unfortunate that your mom missed when using the coathanger though. If at first you dont succeed.....

Not true, you can teleport to Thanatos, I'm not sure on Half Ogre Island. If you go to the library in Tarant there is a book called something like 'History of the Island of Despair'. In this book it explicity states that you can't teleport there and there is even a theory on why.

I'm so sorry, but in my post I never referred to me, ergo: your entire flame-attempt is invalid. Congratulations, you just reached a new low!

Well, I haven't seen you outdo me, so for now I'll just store the big guns for when someone worth spending them on comes along. Thank you and good night.

Since Vyenna has better things to do and I'm bored, I present to you what your childish little mind desires - a petty, pointless, tit-for-tat sparing match. Your clumsy posting is retorted to as follows: Stick figures are not impressive. Intelligent verbal combat is. I am not seeing intelligent verbal combat from you. I am seeing the sort of behavior and intelligence the rest of us left behind in preschool. Clumsy innuendo, pathetic one-liners and reliance on uninspired glyphs to do your work for you. All you've shown yourself capable of is the gladitorial equivalent of a brain-dead puppy running repeatedly into a wall.

Seems like Vyenna's got a new guy to hate in stead of me. Congrats, maximus.

I see a major problem here. Brain-dead and running, being used in the same sentence. Gladitorial no less. I don't really understand why so much effort and energy is wasted arguing with someone who you can't even see. There's so much more to do than just trying to piss people off online, or show how many big words you can use in one sentence. It's kind of ridiculous. Maximus, please refrain from insulting (or trying to insult) women. It gives Maxes all over the world a bad name. You don't need to retaliate, there's much more strength in simply remaining stoic and calm. It's much easier than, and preferable to, arguing fruitlessly over who's is bigger. We all know the answer to that question. Now, you probably won't take this advice, if that's what it can be called, and, even more likely, you don't care. Fine by me. I had to say something, however. It was a moral obligation, that of being a Max.
