Ok, I guess I am stupid. I have decided to revisit Arcanum, both for a replay, and to play The Killer Inside. However, The Killer Inside comes with not intall instructions(I read the readme 50 times) and is not sellf installing. Additionally, it says I should backup a file(gameports.mes or something) that I am unable to find. Can someone help me?

My apologies for the confusion. If you don't have the file in your data folder, you don't have to backup anything. It was only put there in case someone had another mod using custom portraits.

And as for installation instructions, all you have to do is unzip all the archives to the root of your Arcanum installation directory, with directory recursion enabled. (If you don't know what that means, it's the 'Use folder names' option in WinZip) I should probably create a self installing version as well, though I don't know if it's worth the trouble.
