I Tanis am back after a month or two of play the game. I can say that it is good but not as good as BG2 or BG2 Throne of bhaal. For these resons: 1 lack of countrol of follows 2 lack of good wepons 3 Not alot of good spells 4 Lack of wepons But other than that the game rocks. it did have a role playing feel. I liked the first part more. I had more atmosphere in it. Nostalgia of me roleplaying. All those adventures...
as I said, it has the "beginner adventure" feel you know, like when you kill easy monsters and finish semi hard quests because if they would throw as much as a band of orcs you would be dead. That comes at a price, cause it's not very complex. BG2 was enormous. BG is smaller. But you start at the very begining of the ladder (lev1) and I would say that I really did enyoy alot of forest maps, that were a rare commodity in BG2. as a beginner party you do alot of forest adventures
I hate to compare game to each other as they are many time like compareing apples to oranges. Daggerfall was one of few game that allow you to create your own spells with arena or your own magic itens.
You will mostly have to write to Bethesda Softworks, 1370 Piccard Drive,Rockville,Maryland 20850-4304,USA. They also have than wedsite. It very hard to find than store that carry it as it than old game that came out round 1995.
