i started playing arcanum but they always kick my a**

Hi
i started playing arcanum and its great (fallouts are my most fav games ever)
the problem is that i play with half-elf and i just keep losing all battles except with monsters like ailing wolf or stupid little rat. I am at level11 i got virgil and magnus with me but i just always get killed. i went to check out that black moutains clan but the first golem i meet just finishes me in 2 blows..i dunno what to do
pls help :smile:

 

I killed it only using the harm spell. I just told my party to wait from the first floor then I went in to the next awning. I use harm then keep using it then go back to the first floor to regenerate. He never laid his hands on me since he can't get through portals.

 

I'd suggest that you don't rush through the game. Level 11 is pretty low to be at Black Mountain. You'd need to be a more experienced player to get through it at that level, with more understanding of combat and tactics.

Maybe you should try to advance yourself a bit by doing some side quests before going further.

Also, I noticed you didn't mention having Sogg. He's a real good fighter, so well worth picking up from Shrouded Hills pub. You need 9 CH to get him, I think.

If you're playing in real time, then you might want to switch to turn based. Might be easier on you.

 

I like real time better. You get to experience the game.
