how to get down to the dredge

ive just got the wheelclan talked to loghairs son but i cant get down to the dredge, ive killed the crstaline spiders and saved that guys brother from lots of undead, but cant get into the dredge. how do you get down there?

i just searched the forum, and it seems that you need high int mine is 17 (doesn't seem to be enough- or do you just get one chance at the secret passage?) my charisma is 15 and beauty is 12 i think. i now where the other entrance is but the guard wont let me in.

 

I think your stats are high enough. I seem to remember that the trick is to take exactly the right conversation thread with Ranvar the first time you talk to him. If he doesn't give you permission in that first conversation, I don't know how to convince him.

I think that in order for that conversation to go right, you may need to have already need to have found out the need to get into the dredge (by accepting the quest to retrieve an heirloom maybe).

Sorry to be so vague. It's ages since I did that bit.

 

here's the options

1. talk with the son and he'll give u a premission to enter the dredge.
2. talk with the son with your IN & CH power, and he'll let u into a secret passage.
3. kill the dredge guard and fight ur way in.

i choosed #1 becuz i really want to kill something...
