How the hell do you get 50,000

Im stuck on geting a boat i cant gamble the 3rd mission for sting pete is to hard cos of that damn curst paladin so im trying to get mone can annyone tell me how do you make money? !!MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY!!

If you're desperate, I hear the wise lady outside of shrouded hills carries a ton of money on her. Something like $30,000. But you gotta kill her for it.

You could use the tried and true method of raping storekeepers inventories and selling their stuff back to them. There's a number of different ways to do this. Pickpocket their key if they have them... Prowl and picklock their chests/barrels...

Or if you're a techie, concentrate on buying ingredients for your techs, then build and resell them. Grenades are a pretty good source of money, but I'm sure there are others.

EDIT - Or you could be lame, and find a real Stillwater Giant pelt, and sell it to HT Parnell in Tarant over and over again for $2000 bucks a pop.

A few general suggestions:

1.Make some valuable items and sell them until you get 50k. (boring like hell)

2. Try getting some good fighter followers and take on the cursed guy.

3. Use a fate point to steal from a merchant from which you've been buying quite a lot (mine had 30k but as I did Petes quests I thought of it as a loss of fate point).

 

Would using a fate point allow you to steal more than 100 gold at a time? It'd be a waste to burn a fate point and only rip off 100 gold.

I used to be a teckie at the begining but got the teleport spell so i cant put grenades thats sell for around 600gp together
cos my magic tech meter is on magic about 5%
is there any good places to get money ive all ready spent ages walking the Morbian Planes so i coulg kill bandit ringleaders and sell there armor but that dosent give me much anny outher sugestions

 

If you have the teleport spell, then what do you need the boat for?

Well, there's a quest to kill the king of Caladon for $20,000. I don't know much about it, because I've never done it. Check the site for more details on that.

Doing that and killing a few of the wealthier shopkeepers should net you $50,000 pretty easily.

 

Well the easy way to get tons of cash without murdering the wise women or wasting fate points on stealing is to become the Master of Haggling Skill.

By the time my Gnomish Master Haggler reached this part of the story line he could almost afford three boats :wink:

2. Steal & Sell
3. Kill rich shopkeeprs
4. Build stuff and sell, also find stuff and sell.
5. Gamble
6. Do the quest and get it free

Build stuff to sell

I like to buy those spectcales from the spectacle seller in Ashbury to cpmbine with clock parts from junk dealers to make into PE eyeglasses (worth 2000 each) to sell.

U can take a train to Ashbury, and Mechanical is sthg u definitely want to go into to get mechanised plate and automatons.

Simplest way is to CHEAT and go to Vendigorth ruins, steal some automatons to sell. Worth $4,000 each. Someone posted u can sneak up on the automatons and click them, then out into your inventory and redeploy them as ur own. Then bring the whole gang back to sell to those Cash rich Wise woman.

 

You can also just wait in a wealthy shopkeepers store till he starts to go to bed then walk in with himher and then wait till mornig and picklock the chests,rob them blind,walk close to the door,and sell it all back,then go to the chest again and again untill they run out of money. It worked for me
