how do u enter dark elf city?

err,just how do i get into the dark elf city? There's an 'invisible barrier' blocking my way. :sad:

 

Did you talk to the guarding elf?

 

If you are already in Tsen'Ang and can't seem to go inside, just talk to the elven guards and tell them that you won't do any trouble. They will let you in. And by the way, get all your belongings from Virgil before you go out of this place.

 

Actually, i tried travelling from the normal elf city to the dark elf city and i could not for some reason...

 

If by 'travelling', you mean 'teleporting', no, you can't. Try walking...

 

I think you can teleport there. The only place you cannot teleport are the Void and the one place in Tulla.

You cannot teleport back to the isle of despair or into tsen-ang.

Dark Elven city...

In order to enter the city you have to convince them that you are supposed to be there. Remember those Molochean Hand people that keep attacking you? They all carry an item that you need to show the guards.

 

Oh, yes. I forgot about that silly amulet. Bring it with you and tell them you are of the Molochian hands.

 

Finding another amulet

I'm ready to go into the village, but don't have an amulet with me (I thought I'd given it to Magnus for safekeeping). Any thoughts as to how to get one without waiting for a random encounter?

Unfortunately no. This is what happened to me, I had given one to Virgil to hold, but when I got to the entrance to the city, he no longer had it, which is a bit strange. I had to run around the world map until I ran into the Hand, which took HOURS. If anyone else can suggest a faster way, please do.

 

As stated, there are lots of thieves and Tarant. They can steal from you unless you have high perception points which makes them noticeable.

 

Here is the faster way, kill both the guards(then you can just walk in), then kill everyone in the town. Go get the note from the queen bish, then go to Quintari. Karma won't go down, you end up with a bit of experience and about 10 pieces of elven body armor(not like its useful at this point in the game) =))

 

Thieves?

Friend: Why would they steal nothing but that particular Amulet? Are they programmed to make the game as frustrating as possible or something. That one amulet was the only thing I ever had dissapear on me.

Yes, you did. Here's what you said:

What you are saying, is that a thief in Tarant stole the amulet from me. As I was talking about the amulet being missing, this is the only thing you could have been referring to. Sorry if this is not what you meant, but that is what your message says.

Okay? He said Virgil lost his amulet so its either Virgil's clumsiness or someone stole it from him, okay?

 

Remember the assassins all over the place? Some of the bodies don't decay.

Check:

The Ogre on the plane in the Crash Site.
The assassins in Johacim's Room.
The assassins in the BMC.

That last one proved fruitful for me.

On a side note, does anyone else think that the name Darian'Ka is insanely cool?

 

Pickpocket the gnome in the Caladon Cemetary (or kill him) He has the amulet you need

 

check Virgil's neck for the necklace :smile:
