Ok, I've got to the Lizard guys place. Talked to the Chief and... Don't know to say. I've tried a hundred times. I have 5 persuasion and I'm an expert. Someone tell me EXACTLY what to say...
If you have persuasion, you need intelligence. Talk about the cold blood ways or something like that. Aaah, my mistake. You need to know EXACTLY what you said. Well, I can only tell you that if you screwed it up at the very beginning, you should reload and start anew.
Ah... I need intelligence? I'm a male human. (8 intel) Do I not have enough Intelligence, or am I just pressing some wrong buttons here?
Talk to him about the cold-blood ways, and never in any way tell him the warm-blood way is superior. Also, ask him if the elves have ever harmed the Bedokaan. Tell him how the elves are different, how they are "one with the land" or that they have "words of power." Tell him how Man is much more different. Man indeed has a heart, but in many of them, their heart is dark. Also, the chief will say something like "We kill those who are unfit in our tribe...is it not true among men?" And you HAVE to say "If it was, do you think they would let one such as me survive?" Yeah, you may need to be smarter to get the right dialogue options. I'm thinking maybe an intelligence of 12 or 13.
Thanx, Grossenschwaum. I'll try that. I didn't know Intel affected the convo. i thought only Charisma/Persuasion skill.
Hey, no problem. It took me a few tries to get that situated. The first time I saw the village, I thought, "How can I get one of these bad-asses into my party?" I hope that helps.
Generally, IN affects everything as regards dialogues. Most of the time is more important than persuasion as regards quests.
One of these days I need to make character who learns theraputics via downing INT potions. Any time he needs to do anything he'll down a potion or chemical of some sort.
Where would you purchase the potions? (for some reason, whenever I need something, I'm like. Darnit, I've seen that item before, I'm just not sure where!) :akimbo:
You can get Int potions from the Wise Women or the magic shops in Tarant or Ashbury (It's the purple bottled potion). During your conversation you have the option to kill the poachers. I always take it, but if you do you won't be able to get 'one of these bad asses' into your party.
