how do i get into Tarant?? help!!

    Okay I'm a videogame n00b which is maybe why I cant figure this out. I'm trying to get into Tarant. I just got there and I am on the bridge. Either way I go, left or right, I die instantly from the bandits. I have the big burly ogre guy and Virgil with me, doesnt matter, all three of us get slaughtered.

    What do I do???

    Wrong Place...

    The area you are entering is known as the Boil, keep going straight, across a bigger bridge and you will reach the 'safer' area of Tarant.

    duh!

    How retarded am I! I just figured the bridge was the way I came since I showed up facing the guards and I saw the little entrances to either side with the bandits. Thanks!

    Actually, it seems that in Arcanum, when you get in a new location, the "northest" direction is the best possible direction you can head. It's that way for most of the locations.
