HoL five years on, what's changed?

Hard to believe it is over 5 years since I registered here. Think I spent farrrrrrrrrr too much of the 2 years following engaged in HoL shinanigans.

Reading a random selection of current GD threads, I can see that there's the usual mixture of vitriol and humour. Doesn't seem to have changed much in that respect (except it's not as funny without me and Milo, OBVIOUSLY).

Was wondering what's changed? I can see the forum structure is different, think that happened several years back. The moderator names seem mainly the same, except I can't figure out if Jar and Snowmane actually visit the place still.

Most of the other users seem different. I recognise one or two names, but even those are people who didn't post, or only a little, when I was around.

Glad to see the old place still active though. Reckon Arcanum might be the last decent compuer game I played

 

Well, Milo was back here for a while. xento also paid a visit.
As for me, I seem to have way too much spare time.

 

We've softened the place up a bit I think... Yeah, I know, shameful.

 

But the results of his poll showed that we all thought he was a pervert, and I'm pretty sure your poll showed that he was bannable.

The poll, for the moment is in the Vault of Folly. Wich is good. What, did you guys changed the poll results, that's not democracy...

With a poll phrased like that, everyone's bannable :lol: I was impressed and confused at the same time.

And, lest I forget: 'ullo there, Sheriff Fatman! It feels good to stand post to post with a legend of your calibre.

 

I want to stick around. It's refreshing to be able to come back to the place where you hanged out ages ago, without having to face a 404 screen. I see a lot of new people, well, 95% of the forum is unknown to me. Heck, for all I know this could have been turned into an underground drug and slave enterprise, following the original plans put through by Calis back in the day. Or maybe everyone here is gay and this place is where all the fruity internet fags hang out.

Be that as it may, the site and forum kicks ass as it always did.

 

Man, Fatman and Jinxed... It's been ages since any of you were sighted round here. I hope you do stick around.
Oh, and as far as I know this isn't a drugs and slaves enterprise of any sort (if only because most people here are too lazy for enterprising) but Calis does keep watch on the place regularly, and even posts on occasion.

Yeah, I still visit once every while and get a kick out of this place still being active. By the way, S_F and Jinxed, how's it going fellas? Jinxed, you're in the UK these days, right? Everything OK on the other side of the north sea?

 

Dante is fine. Van Stain... Not so much. The real bastard here is Frigo though. *shakes fist*
