Help with spawning an item in gameworld.

Is there any functionality to spawn an item in the game world? Either in the pc's inventory or his party's inventory.

I've been playing the UAP and it makes me incredibly happy. Except i've broken the black root get money from the mayor quest. For some reason i dont think he ever gave me the chest of gold, and i had a small dialog loop with him.

It would be really great if i could just spawn the chest of gold someplace and go get it. And of course better yet if i could just add it to my own inventory.

I've played with the virgil debug menu, but i didnt see anything in there to add an item. Also unless i'm missing something i couldnt find that anyone had documented the list of items in the game, or maybe i missed it in the mod docs section.

 

Just for the sake of clarity, are you referring to spawning items in-game, as in, like a console command or something? Or, placing items in the game using the editor? Either way, if all you want is gold, I'd head over to the downloads section and pick up Drog Black Tooth's "Cheat Enabler", which reactivates the developers' original set of debug keys. No item spawn, but useful if you just want to spam some gold.

If you want to specifically put items into the game for your character to pick up, I would first have to ask: Do you know how to access the specific map files for Arcanum itself with its editor?

Not sure if you can add item in-game, to be honest. I did come accross this once though as I didn't have enough room in my inventory to receive the chest (it's quite large). Clear out your inventory (i.e, to your followers) and be sure to check the ground around the mayor. Also check the inventory of your followers, as they may have picked it up and then ask the mayor again once you've got the space.

I was quite tired, and only skimmed your post, missing the point that it was about the specific chest of gold from that quest. I can't seem to stop making a fool of myself, can I?

In any case, I would just say screw the whole thing and abandon the quest.

I'm lvl 16 and this quest has been broken since at least lvl 8. So i really would like to find a way to give myself the item to continue the quests from the king. Though i know its not totally necessary.

If i add it to a map will i be able to continue my save game? If not thats counter productive.
As for a console to spawn things in game that'd be ideal, but i am under the impression thats not an option.
My best hope as far as i could tell, was that it could be added to the virgil cheat menu. Which i would probably try to do supposing i could find the list of items.
I tried to pickpocket the mayor and murder him but the item was gone already.
