I need help playing Arcanum on my LAN. You see, I've used the search engines to find an answer over a period of about 4 hours. I also read the MULTIPLAYER FAQ. I just need someone to tell me exactly how to get the damn main module for Arcanum to be multiplayer. I really want to play this with my brother over the LAN. Please don't ban me, as I used the search EXTENSIVELY for at least five hours. Thanks, Haadurin
This is a question we don't get too often. And I'm glad to see you read my multiplayer faq. Mostly that refers to online multiplayer. Anyway as for your problem: The Arcanum main module is not a multiplayer module and hence doesn't work on multiplayer. If you really, really want to play the main module over LAN, you should cancel all your appointments for the next six months and load up World Ed. If you choose to go this path, I can't help you, but here are probably a few who will in the "Modding and Scripting Support" forum. - I remember I wanted to try this once too, but when I realised how much work it would take, I just let it go, and my advice to you is to do the same. But as I said, it is possible if you take the time. Welcome to the forums by the way.
