So I stole her Napha water and wasn't really bothered that she noticed I used unlock cantrip on her nightstand, becuz she didnt attack me.
But now I need to talk to her again for the Madam Lil gift delivery quest.
Anyone know of a way to make her react normally to me again?
Also 2 specific ppl in Ashbury attack me on sight for no reason, some gnome and a woman in one of the houses have a very low reaction towards me, anyone know what could have caused that?(I am playing patched)

    1. If she is just yelling stuff like 'Please show mercy', then I'm afraid the only way to fix it is to wait, this may take some time.

    2. Ashbury thing is a problem that many people have encountered, no known way to fix it

I remember having some NPCs in Ashbury attack me unprovoked because i either killed the man that kicks the Worthless Mutt, or because i kill the guy that asks me to get the mechanized armor from the inventors' basement.

The people in Ashbury who attack you are part of Maug's gang. If you are an enemy of his gang, they attack you. They shouldn't attack you for any other reason. It's a halfling male and a half-elf female and they live in the house next to the cemetary on the same row as the herbalist. I used to think that they attacked me because I killed the pigs for Theo, but it's because you become an enemy of Maug's gang and only because of that.

Where did they come from? I've never been attacked by anyone else unprovoked in Ashbury except those two, except after I killed them. One of the guards is also either a member of Maug's gang or is just crooked because he always rushes to their aid, but none of the other guards do anything. I've killed the gnome who is kicking Dog many times and the only one who will ever attack you for that is the guard captain and he only does it if he sees you kill the gnome because he is such a good character. I usually end up killing him in the bar after the jerks in there attack me. Those two guys don't need a reason, but will do it if you talk to them and won't do it totally unprovoked.

I've been attacked by some other people after killing the gnome kicking the mutt. I think? It's been a while since I've played Arcanum.

Perhaps so, Chaos, but if they weren't guards, then it wasn't FOR killing the gnome. No one cares if you kill the gnome unless they see you do it. I've studied the factions and played the game too much not to know this by now.

I guess they saw me do it, then. It has been a long time, like I mentioned.

The ones i was refering to were quite possibly because of the starting reaction. I was playing a half-ogre or half-orc, and everyone had a very bad reaction to me. You remember talking to the Shrouded Hills constable, where he has a very bad reaction towards you, and if you commit one or two crimes, even without anyone seeing, he will attacks you (like killing the dwarf in the old temple)? Thats what i got. I killed the guy in Ashbury, and when i walked away two NPCs attacked me. I think one may have been a guard, the others was some woman on her house.

Could've been a bug, though. But strange, nonetheless.
