    1. Would a Half-Elf be able to become a
Firearms Master? I think the answer's yes,
    but I'm not sure...

    2. Dunno if this is a bug or if I've just overlooked something, but when I get onto the bartering interface and attempt to scroll
with the 'chain'-slider, it won't stay put.
It slides back up, which makes it rather difficult to buy the lower items. Is there any way to arrest the slider?

ofcourse a halfelf could have a mastery of firearms but I think they suffer a slight penalty to all tech skills but I might be wrong. As for your scrolling, I never came across something that obviuos, maybe the items are partially displayed on the screen and the game seen it and doesn't want to scroll, you need to manually press the arrow down

There are penalty for elves when it comes to technological skills such as Pick Locks and Firearms. The highest level you'll get is 4.5. That is one question I would like to ask. Since the maximum is 4.5, can he still be trained as a master? Should it only be that a character's level must reach exact 5, if not more? Let's say a character's max level is 4.3, when rounded, it'll be only 4. Can he still be train as a master in this field?

If what you say is true friend than I guess Halfelves can't be masters, racial benefits and penalties. But as a background can't you choose allergic to magical items to cancel the penalty? What do you think?

1.Well, a Half-Orc can train as a melee/dodge apprentice with a skill of 0.5. It's been argued elsewhere that the advantage of having skill point fractions is that need fewer stat points to gain mastery,
    - ie a dex, per whatever stat 15 = 4.5 skill points = mastery. If this is the case, then it stands to reason that Elves & ½-Elves would be able to gain mastery, but I just don't want to waste 40 hours of gameplay to find out otherwise
2.about the bargaining interface, well I press the arrow like mad, but it slips back up. It's like the top section is 'heavier'...

What if it is 4.25? 4.5 when rounded would be 5 so I am not surprise you ca be trained as an expert but what if it can't be rounded off?

To my knowledge it is 1 (Apprentice) 3 (Expert) 5 (Master). Anyway, I got my question answer.
