Got a girl's number!

So I got this girls number tonight out at a bar, what do you think? Should I wait two days till I message her or should I go all trigger happy? When she was giving me her number I did say you are not just giving this cause we have been talking all night right? And she was all like no way I totally want to do something this week. Is this the beginning of a new era for Zanza?

I don't think I'd take a guy who posted a thread like this seriously no matter how drunk I was. But I'm not a woman, so I can't judge.

 

Is it safe to assume that getting the number of a random drunk* girl at a bar is a rare accomplishment for you?

*Assuming she was drunk or at least had a few of course.

P.S. waiting for more than two days to call a woman - VERY poor idea. Hell, call her the next day. She'll be touched that she made such an impression on you.

 

Xiao: You must be the exception to the rule, or else haven't been active enough in the dating pool to find the really sketchy people yet. The only time you should call them the next day is if you had sex the night before (in which case, it was probably just a one-night stand, sorry). Anybody calling the next day is - or will come across as - a sorry, desperate loser. This is especially true in the case of meeting a person at a bar or a club: they know they left an impression on you. That's why they were there.

The thought just occurred to me that Xiao may have been being sarcastic, in which case you may commence ridiculing me. If not, I'd conclude my statements by saying that this applies to both genders: I've met pretty creepy women in the past. You know, the type who just want to attach themselves to a man as fast as possible, no matter what/have serious mental disabilities and will take them out on you. Every guy who's smart will know to stay away from that. Also, there's actually no set system of rules or regulations to the opposite sex. My current girlfriend and I kissed on the first date, which the media tells us is a major no-no, and we're very happy. Just don't be all sketchy and desperate. That's just awful.

No offense to anybody who has been calling their dates the morning after they meet them and have been wondering why it's been so long since they had a significant other. But now you know why.

 

Dude, it's called being polite. You call them, say 'hey, I enjoyed talking with you last night, wanna catch a movie or something?' That's not creepy, goddammit, it's called a good way to make a good second impression.

 

Sure, if you want to seem like you have nothing better to do. We've all had bad experiences with stalkerish types, I'm sure.

 

Now I think about it, you should probably take my advice with a pinch of salt, seeing as how I gave up on the dating scene about six years ago.
