Getting Back to the Isle of Dispair

I went to the island and talked to the dwarf that runs the place. At the end of his speel he says something about the ship having possibly been taken over by pirates... Wondering about this I head back to the ship past a bunch of dead bodies and talk to Teach... This proceedes to lock me into a conversation that causes me to head back to Ashbury before I wanted to. Is there any way to get back to the island? Ive tried asking about buying a ship but it isnt ready yet and Teach dosent even enter dialog, only saying "Come back when you need to go somewhere" or whatnot.

That sucks 'cause yer stuck, no backup saves? There is like a curse on that island so many people always get stuck with it, load because there is no way

 

L.B. Did this dwarf mark where this Wheel Clan is, and did he mention that you need special glasses to see the entrance?? If the answer to these questions are yes, well I didn't tested this, but I have heard that there is this guy in Ashbury who can make the glasses for you if that is true, no swet.

Got the info from the dwarf and the map location, so I'm probably okay from a main story perspective. going to have all these blue quests in my log now though. Oh well, something new to do my second time through the game.

You cannot buy the ship yet until you have enough money. Besides, there is no option of going to the Isle of Despair when you keep turning the ship around.

Yes, there is this guy who can made a custom wheel clan spectacles. You can make it yourself if you have a schematics but I found in the Isle of Despair. Perhaps the glassmaker has it. You can try and pick pocket it from him. You can also find some spectacles at the shops in the Wheel Clan but of course, you first would need it before you get there.
