Ok, this process is rather long and complicated but it DOES work. Ive got all of Tarant and Ashbury wired to my favor.

First, goto Tarant, talk to Pettibone and get the location of the elven ruins, go to the ruins and do whatever with the elves outfront. Go down into the tomb and goto the room where the tombstone is, search the containers and youll find a suit of leather armor. ID it at a Gypsy and then take it to a store. If your a Tech, take it to a herbal store, if your a mage, take it to a magic store. If your a Tech, the best place to take it would probably be to the Herbalist in Shrouded hills or Caladon. The White Mage store in Tarant if your a mage. There are 2 ways to do this. First, open up the pickpocket screen and check what the Shopkeeper has on them. If they have really good armor, dont even bother and go somwhere else. If they have any healing items, dont worry, they will eventually be gone. Now there are 2 ways to do this. (A)Use pickpocket and plant the armor in thier inventory, they will wear the armor and the effects will take hold (B)Drop the armor near them and they will pick it up and put it on. Once they have the armor on, just WAIT, if they start healing themselves, dont worry thier Fatigue will soon be exausted and they will colapse. CAUTION: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ATTACK THEM, THEY WILL TURN HOSTILE AND ATTACK YOU ONCE YOU RESSURECT THEM.Once they die, loot thier boddies. VERY IMPORTANT, MAKE SURE YOU CAN RESSURECT THAT PERSON ITHER WITH A POTION OR SPELL. THE WHOLE PLAN IS MOOT IF YOU CANT BRING THEM BACK. Destroy the door to the room where they keep thier stash. If your a considerate person, steal a change of clothes for the person and put it in thier inventory, then resurect them. VOILA!! At any time, you can go in thier back room and pop thier stash open and take at will. You can even get a whole city of merchants wired so that they are your own personel bank of items and money. WARNING: DOES NOT WORK ON GYPSIES OR PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOOD ARMOR. CHECK FIRST OR YOULL JUST HAVE TO KILL THE SHOPKEEPER OR LOOSE THE ARMOR

If your pickpocket is good enough to plant the armour, then you can just steal their existing one.

Dynamite through a wall. All the slaughter, none of the risks.

This works too, but blowin' 'em up is even more fun.

Time Bombs, if you can make them, are also exceptional. I think you can actually give them to people without making them mad... or something. I haven't tried with plastique yet, but if I remember right they go over and pick up the plastique, which prevents you from employing the detonator...

I thought them picking up the plastique was the whole point - the detonator should still work. Maybe you have to place it on them using pickpocket, then it will still work, regardless.

As for the timebomb - they rock! It's the same as dynamite, but you don't have to place them on anything. This means that you can activate it and drop it on the floor next to the shopkeeper. Either they will pick it up, or they will continue to stand by it. Whatever they do, they don't do it for long.....

I think there's a small robe in Ashbury castle that has the poison effect, too. Also, i remember a ring that made one invisible at the cost of health, or was it fatigue?

Is that the 'ring of dark magicks' that you pick up, in the hidden chamber of Khergan in the Stonecutter clan?

I remember that ring quite well - and it's a high fatigue cost. A funny, but true story regarding it: I put it on to test it out, and my fatigue starting dropping like crazy, so I opened up my inventory to take the ring back off... but just as I was clicking to take off the ring, I ran out of fatigue and collapsed unconscious - with the ring on my mouse pointer.... so I put it in my backpack and went back to the map view to wait for my character to wake up....

When he did, he was still invisible! But without any of the hex effect! Permanent invisibility with no fatigue loss! Best bug I've seen yet in the game... the only way I was able to turn visible again was to put the ring back on and then take it off before I passed out.
