followers and their levels

I'm at level 40 and just recently raised my charisma a few points to be able to gain another follower. Is it even worth it to bother with another follower? i picked up Sogg Mead, but he's only level 2. So he'll only get upto level 12 and that's it. Is there anything else to do or are there other followers that I can pick up right now that will be futher along in levels?

 

Well, it might be easier to answer that question if you said exactly where you were in the game. I dont want to spoil it for you. There are fallowers who come at high levels. Depending how you play, you may want more fallowers just for the dialouge some of them add.

 

i just got into quintarra and doing some of the side quests there. i still haven't talked to raven, though. does that help?

 

Ask Gilbert Bates to let you have Chukka as a follower, he makes Sogg Mead Mugg look like Richard Simmons Junior.

Dump Sogg for this chap once you get him.

But Chukka starts at level 16 or 18 & will only be offered before the Isle of Despair. Posible followers you have yet to meet or have the opportuinity to get:

Jormund level 20 and free, Raven level 30?, King Loghair level 35, Sebastian 25 or 30, Permian Smythe 25 or 30, Z'an 25 or 30, Tollo Underhill level 30, Waromon 25 or 30, Weldo Rubin 25?, Franklyn Payne 30 - 35.

You're hooked and will be playing many games now..........

Its fun to play king of the hill by yourself through the game but its just as much if not more to have a bunch of followers with you.

When I first started I forgot about Charisma also, but first thing I do when starting game at crash site is to get to lvl 2 and put the point into charisma then so to the hills and get sogg then go back to crash site and finish off all that stuff. This way sogg levels with you and good for bashing things that are locked.

With followers you can put your cps wherever, I find that what I used to spend for str early on goes to skills or spells or DEX (I think best to have)

Just play both ways and try to hook up with followers that are your level and they can ride your coattails all the way through the game.

by the way, how many followers do most of you keep around (not counting the mutt/dog)?

also, do any of the "pure melee" followers differ much in abilities (not counting racial factors ie: 1/2 ogre strenght)?

5 - 10. I have upgraded my video cards and we are all much better now.

ST & DX is about it, except for Dog who becomes a mele Master. (Now if only he would tell Vergil how he does that.)

by the way, i dropped sogg 'pickled liver' mead and grabbed sebastian at the boil.
