what's your favorite type?

i like an half-ogre idiot master with excellent thieving skills... dialogs are damn funny!!!

btw have any1 played without maxing thier dex?

 

I'm doing that now, Mael. My mage has only a natural 8 in STR and DX. I use Earth and Fire spells to boost those stats before battle.

 

I never maxed my dex actually. I did MAx intelligence and perception though.

 

Well.. i just learned that rasing my perception was a waste...ho hum

 

The bonus for max perception is pretty bad, so the most perception you'll really ever want is 18.

I'm playing now with base strength and dex, I have other people do the fighting for me...I'm very passive, I only have 3 persuasion as well, for more followers than with just 8 charisma :smile:.

As for my favourite character type, I'd say that my half-orc technologist with max strength, dex, melee, dodge, intelligence and smithy was really good...

Always like elves, or half-elves. And I just discovered that a mage can be fun and quite effective. Arcanum is the first game that I've played as a mage because it's the first time I've been able to use one effectively. (and I've played several other CRPGs). So I've been doing fighter/mage with high magic and melee expert ot master. - Edythe

 

I'd have to agree with you about the half-elves - they are pretty cool. In CRPG's I tend to like the half breeds (except for half-ogres). I'm a fairly big fan of half-elves and half-orcs :smile:. Halflings as well, because they have 'half' in their name :smile:.

 

Dark elves r the best that is what my throwing guy is and he is real kool

That's what we need in the sequel - dual-wielding!

Dammit, if I want to play a gunfighter with akimbo revolvers, then I want that now!

If I want to be a maniac with two swords (obviously the dual-wielding has to be kept within limits, no one can wield two great swords one handed, except for maybe a half-ogre) then I want to be a maniac with 2 damn swords!

Dammit, give us more weapons, items, spells, schematics and abilities. Arcanum is good, but there are some things you can't get enough of! More more more I say!

Dammit, if I want more followers with voice acting, then I want more followers with voice acting! :smile:
