So I won't buy Throne of Darkness. How about this one?

It has a monthly fee, and is really addictive. Though if you're going to buy a MMORPG with a monthly fee, I'd suggest Dark Age of Camelot... I hear a lot of good things about that game (even though I don't really play MMORPGs, myself)

I agree with Calis. From what I've read, it's now considered conventional wisdom to start off your MMORPG career in DAoC...I'd really like to play that game myself, unfortunately my computer doesn't have an internet connection .

So you can only play this online like this other game I forgot? Then it is a multi-player game? Sorry if I don't know. And what is MMORPG?

You know, like Ultima Online, Everquest... Games like that where it's an on-line "world" with thousands of users.

Yeah. MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. You pay a monthly fee to play, and it is online only.

How can you pay it on monthly basis? Online or through the store where you bought the game?

They charge your credit card. They automatically charge you each month until you cancel your description.

Then you don't play, unless you use someone else's credit card and pay them back...but that could cause complications should a problem arise...

Everquest is old. Are you talking about Everquest: Shadows of Luclin? That's the expansion that's coming out soon.

You have to pay for the software, and the montly access fee. No other way around it .

    Heres the deal..

MMORPG's usually have at least 2 methodes of paying. The first is a monthly basis. They charge your credit card 10$ everyone month. Another option is a "game time" deal. where you send them 30$ in the mail and they send you a card with a code that you enter in your account managment good for 3 months of game play (EQ uses a card). For more info go to thier main website.

But you're right Jarinor. I classified Everquest for Oz and NZ over two years ago. Damn cheeky of Sony to make you pay for the game and then pay to play it (no single player with EQ)! I do like how the world keeps expanding though…one day there's an ocean, and the next day there's another continent begging for exploration.

It's quite simple. There are other computers where I live. One of them has an internet connection. That is this one. Hence my computer doesn't have an internet connection, this one does, hence I can go on the TA forums and become a Lord .

That begs for a reply…so I'll oblige. Why don't you play EQ on the machine you're using now?

    1. This machine doesn't exactly have stellar specs. While I could run EQ on it, I also only have 56k, and O@H (if you live in Australia, you know what that stands for) isn't available - I live in a Telstra-only, underground cable area.

    2. I get (or rather, got) really crappy pings to servers in Australia when I used to play CounterStrike and TFC - ~250-300...
