Ending glitches?

So I did my regular stress-relief "get all the worst endings possible" run since that path lets me wantonly slaughter people for the evulz. And some weird stuff happened once I beat the game and got the endings. More specifically...

And of course, I was going for the bad endings for Dernholm and Black Root by getting Black Root to give its taxes to King Praetor before killing the king himself.

Now, to be absolutely sure of the bad ending I was thinking I'd make sure both Maximillian and Praetor were dead by the time I beat the game. I apparently managed to bug things up by getting Maximillian's "reveal I'm alive to Lianna del Par" quest, killing him first and then talking to Lianna (which flagged the quest as successfully completed in my journal) before killing her too, only after which I offed Praetor.

Bugged how? Instead of an ending for Dernholm I got this voice clip of what sounds like Elder Joachim saying something to the effect of "You have to do what you must, no matter the cost" and Black Root's ending sounds like Maximillian successfully came home and took over Cumbria.

So, what's happening here? As for patches and mods I installed both the latest official patch and the UAP.

 

The UAP fixes that bug with Joachim's voice clip. You've been playing without the UAP.

 

Odd, I could've sworn that I installed it. Will installing the official patch before the UAP cause any conflicts?
