How does it work? I see no stat increase when I drink it, is the effect still there? Are my "target" supposed to drink it?

Well, I checked that too, could see any increase, at least visually.

When I used it on myself, my persuasion skill increased by 1/2 a point.

Ah, 2 ranks isn't much of an increase, that's probably why I didn't see it change. Is the effect cumulative? = can I take 2 to get a better effect?

I downloaded a mod that, among other things, improves the elixir of persuasion so that it adds 4 ranks instead of 2. You can find it at:

It's the "Therapeutics Change" by Chris Beddoes. Seems like a reasonable modification to me. Maybe there's something I'm missing, but I don't see why the elixir of persuasion is so underpowered. After all, 1 character point buys you 4 ranks in persuasion that's on all the time.
