Elite Platemail query

I already have the Featherweight Chain, but also need Dwarven Steel. I've checked schematics at various shops and have bought the majority of them but cannot find one for this.

I have some Dwarven Ore but assume there's a schematic for Dwarven Steel somewhere? Is it a quest item perhaps?

There is no schm for it, but it can be bought at the blacksmiths in Caladon and the Wheel clan. If you don't know about these places continue farther in the game.

 

you can sometimes find it in the wheel clan mines, but it is always in the wheel clan blacksmith

sold (as well as the featherweight ax) at the blacksmith in the wheel clan mines) not that expensive either. simple, easy, have fun, get to the mines first.. heh play the game a bit .. they go for the high level armor :smile:

I found a bunch of dwarven steel in the mine ruins that gates sends you too... it looks just like sheet steel.

Possible Black Mountain Mines bug?

Thanks for the answers. I've been to the Black Mountain mines (didn't find any dwarven steel)but I think I've found a bug.

I've got Spot/Disarm Traps skills and successfully spotted/disarmed various traps. However, on level 3 (I think it is) when I spotted a trap and clicked on the 'disarm trap' icon in order to disarm it, it instead opens up my character screen.

So I cannot disarm traps. I haven't been anywhere else to disarm any other traps so am unsure if it's just the mines.

 

Ooops! Forget this last post. My eyes were playing tricks with me, I was getting the repair icon mixed up with the disarm trap icon. I'm so embarassed. Sorry.

My excuse is that Arcanum is all I've been playing on my computer. Time for a break I think.

Is there anywhere that I can buy elite plate? I need that to make my automaton.... and I don't want to spend the next 5 levels gaining smithing.

you can try pickpoket on those plated gourds in dermholm but I doubt they have "elite"

I'd still have to *get* pickpocket skill for that.... man, all because I want mechanical minions to do my bidding. Is that so much to ask?

 

you can use a fate point to aquire one. I don't think it would be easy to "pick pocket"
a PLATE MAIL since it's not very small and quite. And it's not really in his pocket. I mean try not to notice someone lifting a plate mail off you
