And I thought the arachnids rocked.... Trying to find the dog (must be dead. Dangit!), I found a guy standing in an alley. Knowing he has a quest for me, I approach him. One thing leads to another (not like that) and I'm going into this guy's workshop to find some platemail. First thing I see? poison arachnid. I think, "I wish I had one of those puppies... okay, go ahead and kill it now guys" and we blow thorugh it easily. We go downstairs and in the middle of the room is an gigantic wooden box. Again, I think, "Gee, I wonder if there's something in that box..." with as much sarcasim as a bad teen-relating movie. I walk up, already in combat mode, and low and behold, it's an automation! "Wow cool! Now that kicks arse!" I say out loud. It puts up a little resistance, but again, Virgil and Althea throttle the heck out of it. Anyway, I wonder around the basement, looking for the platemail when I find a good friend of mine known as schematic. I pick it up and read it, and what does it say? AUTOMATION. Shazam!! Now, creating these bulldozers with legs is a very simple process for me (due to mod after mod stacked on eachother for just the right type of gameplay I want out of Arcanum), except for one, simple detail: Dwarven Steel. I got a piece in the mountains and stupidly through another piece away, thinking I didn't need it, I already made one suit of Elite Platemail. Well, now the piece is an essential part of my survival (funny how thing become really important at the drop of a hat in this game). What I want to know are a few things about Dwarven Steel. Can I buy it somewhere? Is it only found in the Black Clan Mountians? How many pieces are in the mountains? Is there a way I can get my hands on more? If I can tie up this one loose end, I might not need helpers.... :drunk:
Dont worry! You can buy it in the Wheel Clan Mines! Just wait till you get to that point in the game and then you can get as many automotans as you want!
What you really need is the mod that replaces all the grass in Arcanum with dwarven steel, mithril ore, and Vendigrothian sheet metal.
lol I think he was just kidding. Besides, that would be really, really hard to do, unless by grass you mean like ginka root and stuff. You know, it's funny you should mention the Wheel Clan, because that's exactly where I am in the game. Bad part is, I didn't get the glasses from the guy on the island, so now I have to figure out how to get a pair (the crystals themselves aren't a problem, I have like 5, lol)
There is a guy in Ashbury who sells glasses, he can make custom ones if you bring him a crystal and pay a few coins

He was one of my favorite characters in the book, I couldn't wait to see how they portrayed the Ent attacl upon Isengard. They did a good job, but not quite what I had pictured.
i liked the way they did it but im annoyed that they cut out a lot of stuff and threw in some of their made up junk. i still liked the movie, but i really wanted to see shelob and how sam deals with the orcs...
